Local artist: Aundrya Manglona

By: Ciann San Nicolas

As a local girl who loves to support local artists, one of my all-time favorites is run by artist and small-business owner Aundrya Manglona. Her shop, AundryaMCreations, is full to the brim with beautiful artwork come to life in the form of stickers, pins, and more! I chose to spotlight this artist because I appreciate how she pulls from her culture and background to showcase her roots. Aundrya is a regular vendor at the Sunday Night Market in Tumon and at Chamorro Village on Wednesdays. For those off-island or unable to make it to her physical pop-ups, she has an online shop where she sells her products.

I'd also like to shoutout Aundrya because she is a former student of Inalåhan Middle School, and I learned recently that she collaborated with Ms. Angela Andersen to create the IMS SY 2022-2023 yearbook! It's awesome that she was able to use her gift to give back to the community that she came from.

  1. I'm so glad you chose to do a review for Aundrya! Her work is incredible. I had actually been following her on Instagram since she first started her business, and one day I decided to message her on a whim to see if she'd be interested in helping create a design for our yearbook. She already had designs featuring many of the popular spots in our school's villages (Yona, Talofofo, Inalahan, and Malesso) so I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. Sure enough, she responded and shared that she had attended IMS when she was in middle school and would love to help us out! I think it says a lot about small business owners when they're willing to give back to the community. It shows that their mission goes beyond just running a business and they truly care about the community that helped shape them. I hope she continues to do well!
