Southern Spotlight: Dukduk Shave Ice

    Tucked by the quiet Merizo shore, there is a hidden gem called "Dukduk Shave Ice." In a sleek silver Airstream, owner Donovan serves refreshing, deliciously sweet treats that are perfect for maipe days on Guåhan. Dukduk Shave Ice is my personal favorite southern spot for a sweet treat because not only are the desserts scrumptious, but the prices are fair and the views are impeccable. At only $5 per shave ice (with no limit on flavor choices), it's a perfect place to bring the whole family to cool down. Beyond shave ice, Donovan also serves Americanos and homemade mango ice cream! 

    It's important to note that Dukduk Shave Ice only takes cash, so be prepared before stopping by! They are open Tuesday-Sunday from 11 am - 4 pm. There is a nice, shaded place to eat your treats right by the Airstream. There are also 3 picnic tables right by the sea for a truly picturesque afternoon. They are located right across from C&J hotdog stand in Merizo, right before you reach the Merizo pier. If you are bringing little ones, it's also a great spot because it's less than a minute drive from Dukduk Shave Ice to the pier or to the Merizo playground!
